We worked with the SMT and Board Members to vision and agree the future of the organisation. We developed and agreed new values and objectives.

We researched best practice and spoke to many people. We developed a set of communication recommendations and profiled the audience and assigned outcomes for each target.

We agreed the challenges and solutions for the brand and communication tools


BwDCVS has a long reach and as a result many differing offers. The original brand was looking dated and had  little traction, with 14 sub brands the challenge was to develop an over-riding device that was inclusive and reflected the dynamism of the communities.

We  branded the building for Community CVS which gives a well signposted home to the social economy and 3 rd sector locally. Community CVS building is now a landmark within Blackburn.


The existing website had become difficult to navigate and there was a challenge to organise the information which was vast and needed a strict architecture to make sense. The site map was substantial.

We developed  and created a solution that organised and brought order to the resources.
We trained volunteers to update and edit the website.

How was it for them?

We worked with Bread Media to realign our communications as the landscape for all CVS’s had shifted creating a need to revise who we were, refresh our brand and realign our communications with distinct audiences.

Bread Media listened, understood, engaged, measured and created insight that allowed us to rename and rebrand. They took on board our heritage, our users and our aspirations, and ultimately created a brand that matched our needs and included our stakeholders.

The insight stage created a communications plan that identified new assets and prescribed definitive actions – we can now create campaigns to match our needs and measure audience engagement to satisfy our governance, supporters and funders.

The brand has helped us achieve our objectives and is now fully embedded across our operation. We also have a brand toolkit that is useful in the office for day to day use.

Bread Media developed our website which matched the objectives of Community CVS and developed a way to manage and port the considerable data and information. They also provided a training manual and trained our volunteers to update the website.

I would recommend Bread Media as they developed the right solutions and 2 years on, we still look good and we are proud of our new brand. They helped us reconnect and communicate.
